Y’all. To say I’m absolutely SHOOK is the understatement of the century.

I recently had the privilege of photographing something truly special – a cozy in-home maternity session for a gorgeous mom, and it’s even better that she’s a repeat client of mine! Each maternity session is more than just taking photos; it’s a celebration of the miracle of life. Every baby is special and extraordinary, and this one certainly is. Kaley – who was absolutely glowing and radiant – is carrying her precious rainbow baby.

The atmosphere was incredibly cozy and intimate. You can tell that Kaley has put a lot of thought into each corner of their home which brings such feeling of peace.

I couldn’t help but think ahead to September throughout this whole session. This beautiful mom has graciously invited me to document another monumental chapter in their life – the homebirth of their rainbow baby girl. It’s an honor and a responsibility I don’t take lightly, knowing that these images will become a part of their family’s story for generations to come.

Homebirth photography is something that’s deeply personal and important to me. It’s about preserving not only the physical details of labor and delivery but also the emotions, the strength, and the love that surround the miracle of each child. Each birth story is unique, and I am humbled to witness and capture the raw beauty of this family’s journey as they welcome their rainbow baby into the world – and so soon too!

The journey with this family has been incredible so far – and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
