I get it. You’re already spending a lot—prenatal care, delivery expenses, car seats, cribs, clothes... it adds up fast. You’ve got a lot on your plate.
And honestly, hiring a birth photographer might have been the last thing on your mind.
But now that you’re here, let me share why it matters.
1. Birth is one of the most powerful, joy-filled moments of your life.
Nothing compares to holding your baby for the first time after months of growing them inside you. These moments are once-in-a-lifetime—and they deserve to be remembered. I still tear up every time I witness them. Having someone quietly there to document it all gives you something to hold onto forever.
2. You’ll want to remember what this felt like.
Seeing yourself holding your baby—seeing the whole story unfold from start to finish—is priceless. It’s one thing to live it. It’s another thing entirely to see it later, and remember every bit of that strength, love, and awe.
"She has a very calm presence and I honestly almost didn’t even realize she was there at the birth. I’d highly recommend her services!"
Absolutely! You’re the one giving birth—you’re in the driver’s seat. I can absolutely adjust my angles to avoid capturing nudity or stay above your shoulders if that’s your preference. If you'd like, I can also edit to crop or soften anything you're not comfortable with.
Every gallery is password-protected, and I will never share any images publicly without your clear, written consent. At nearly every birth I've photographed, there's been little to no nudity at all—and as a mom of three myself, trust me, nothing phases me.
(Just ask about the time I pooped in the tub—LOL.)
When you hire me as your birth photographer, I’m on call 24/7 starting at 38 weeks until your baby is born. I’m with you from active labor (usually around 5–6cm) through delivery and the first 2–3 hours postpartum. That can mean 12+ hours in your birth space—sometimes even 24.
Then there’s the editing: I carefully hand-edit each image with intention and love, and you’ll get your full gallery within three business days (assuming I have received the full payment). It's not just photos—it's your story, and I treat it with the care it deserves.
Yes, absolutely! I want this investment to feel manageable for you. Here's how it works:
Fill out the contact form below.
I’ll reach out to chat about your due date, birth preferences, how many little ones you’ve welcomed before, and what kind of support you’re looking for.
If we decide to move forward, I’ll send you a booking link where you’ll:
– Pay a $400 non-refundable deposit
– Fill out a short questionnaire
– Sign your contract
After that, you can make payments on your own schedule—whether that’s $50 at a time or larger chunks. The only requirement is that the full balance is paid before any images are delivered.
Total investment: $1,500 + 7% PA sales tax = $1,605
Payment plans are always available—just ask!
Homegirl, you're giving birth! This is completely up to you! Some moms get sweaty and prefer to be butt-naked. Some moms want to be covered and will wear a comfy shirt and leggings or sweatpants. Some moms wear a nice robe paired with a nursing bra and bottoms, others wear a hospital gown. It's totally up to you! I'd shy away from graphic tees and bright colors so as not to distract from the rest of the photo but hey, you do you.
Each birth can vary so much and it really depends on how long I'm there, different laboring positions, etc. I've had births where I've walked in the door and the mama delivered her baby 20 minutes later and other births where mama was laboring for a long time and eventually had to get a C-section. Photo count can range anywhere from 60-200.
It has happened before - and almost happened a second time - due to the sweet mamas having such fast labors! I always ask mamas to allow for two hours for me to arrive. I have three small children at home and a husband who works a full time 9-5 job, so it takes a little bit to arrange childcare or wait for my husband to get home. Communication is crucial in those last days lading up to labor and delivery so that I know what's going on and can (hopefully) leave at a moment's notice.
In the event that I still don't arrive in time for the birth, I will offer a complimentary newborn session, and still capture those fresh postpartum snuggles. Refunds are unfortunately not offered.
Likely, you'll hardly notice that I'm there. I try to be stealthy and only use flash if absolutely necessary. When I gave birth to my third son, at some point I realized it was no longer only my husband, doula, and photographer in the room and asked how many people were in there (I was in a tub with my back to the room). I don't even remember what the answer was, but hopefully that will give an idea as to how when a mom is in labor - she's focused on herself and her baby and not really the room around her.
